Brand
METTLER TOLEDO
Description
This technique combines Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) in a single instrument. This allows the simultaneous measurement of heat flow (DSC) and weight change (TGA) of a sample under controlled temperature conditions.
It enables users to analyze a wide variety of samples.
Characteristics
- Capable of performing analyses between 25°C and 1600°C under a controlled atmosphere (air, nitrogen, or argon).
- Heating rate: from 0.1 to 100°C/min.
- Balance: measurement range of 5g with a resolution of 1µg.
- Available crucibles: small alumina and platinum crucibles (70 µL) and large alumina crucibles (600 and 900 µL).
Applications
- Study of phase transformations in metallic alloys and ceramics,
- Determination of material composition (purity),
- Study of glass transition and degradation of rubber, polymer, and synthetic materials.
- Characterization of pharmaceutical products.
- Investigation of reduction and oxidation reactions under controlled atmospheres (air, nitrogen, etc.).
